What sizes do SKYTRAK Simulator Studios come in?
SKYTRAK Simulator Studios are available in four sizes:
- 8' wide x 7'5" high x 4' deep
- 10' wide x 8'6" high x 5'4" deep
- 12' wide x 8'6" high x 5'4" deep
- 13' wide x 10' high x 10' deep
How much space do I need for a SKYTRAK Simulator Studio?
Based on our expertise, these are the minimum requirements we recommend for a comfortable fit:
- Room Height: A ceiling height of 9’ typically offers ample clearance for most golfers. However, depending on an individual's height and swing style, a ceiling lower than 9' might also suffice.
- Room Width: The screens and nets we offer range from an 8' to 13' width. If you anticipate both right-handed and left-handed players using the simulator, it's wise to have an additional 1' to 2' of width for optimal comfort. While we generally suggest a room width of 12' for a more spacious feel, some of our simulators can comfortably fit into a smaller space.
- Room Depth: A room depth of 17' offers a comfortable and spacious setting for your setup, providing more than enough space for an optimal golfing experience.
Do SKYTRAK Simulator Studios come with a launch monitor?
All SKYTRAK ST MAX and ST+ Studio packages include the SKYTRAK ST MAX or ST+ Launch Monitor. If you already own a launch monitor, there are "No Launch Monitor Included" versions available so you can use your existing device.
Does the ST MAX Studio include a projector?
All ST MAX studios include a projector. The Standard studio and the Premium studio include the ZW350ST Projector, and the Ultimate studio comes with the more premium GT2000HDR Projector.
What's the difference between a launch monitor and a golf simulator?
A launch monitor is a compact device that measures golf shot data at impact. For example, a SKYTRAK launch monitor uses photometric camera technology to capture ball and club metrics such as:
- Ball speed
- Launch angle
- Spin rate
- Carry distance
- Club path
- Face angle
Launch monitors can be used on their own at the driving range or indoors hitting into a net. They provide performance data, but they don’t automatically include a full simulator environment.
A golf simulator studio is a complete indoor golf setup that typically includes (or requires):
- A launch monitor
- Impact screen
- Golf net or enclosure
- Projector
- Hitting mat
- Simulator software
- Computer or compatible device
A golf simulator studio creates the full immersive playing experience. Your shot data is displayed visually on a screen, allowing you to play virtual golf courses, practice on a digital range, or compete online.
